Over the last 3 months, Solar Biotronic Laboratories has started to offer the following Switch Technologies to customers. Membrane Keypads comprise of a screen printed circuit layer on a special polyester sheet. Snap domes are used as switches and the entire assembly is covered using industrial grade adhesives and the graphic polyester sheet. The switch life of a membrane keypad is relatively less and hence these are usually used in non critical applications.

The Piezo Electric (Metal) keyboards are a perfect answer to harsh environments and can withstand very high abuse. Unlike many other suppliers Solar Biotronic does not import these keyboards from China, but has developed its own technology – a success story after 2 years of relentless developmental efforts. These keyboards are entirely sealed and work on the piezo principle wherein the pressure on the metal surface is sensed and converted in to a voltage pulse.
