The SBL Touch System is a very cost effective way to convert your existing PC in to a powerful information system. The SBL Touch System helps you to develop Information Kiosks in a very cost effective manner.
The SBL Touch System comprises of the Touch Screen mounted on a frame (suitable for the Monitor on which it is to be used), a Driver circuit (fitted in an enclosure), cables and the Driver software. The SBL Touch system runs on all Windows versions. This can be used on any standard PC using CRT or LCD monitors.
Solar Biotronic Laboratories uses Resistive Technology for making the Touch System at a low cost without sacrificing accuracy and response time. Further, the System uses the Mouse port thus keeping the serial port free for other applications. The System also ensures that you can use the Mouse and the Touch Screen simultaneously.
About Product
The SBL Touch System is very easy to install and use. The frame fits on to the monitor and the cable is connected through the Driver circuit to the mouse port. The Driver software is installed through easy steps as per the instructions displayed on the menu. The Touch Screen is then calibrated using a simple menu driven program and the SBL Touch System is ready for use.
The SBL Touch System uses the Analog Resistive technology which offers high accuracy and fast response time. As shown in the figure below the Touch screen consists of a clear polyester sheet stuck firmly on a glass panel. Both these components are covered by a conductive coating.
When the user touches the Screen at a particular point, the position is sensed by the system and this in turn displays the data / information through the Driver.
